Intro : VSETT Front Wheel Repair
Hello everyone, in this tutorial, we will go through the detailed steps of repairing a puncture on the front wheel of a VSETT9 scooter.
You will see that this repair is quite easy to perform, and we hope that this tutorial will assist you in successfully completing the task.

Removing the Front Wheel
Let’s start by removing the plastic covers to access the front fork nuts.
Next, we’ll unscrew the two nuts on the left and right sides of the wheel using a wrench or a 18mm socket.
Once the nuts are sufficiently loosened, we can separate the two locking washers and remove the wheel.
Removing the Brake Disc
We remove the brake disc by unscrewing the 6 screws using a 4mm Allen wrench.
After removing the disc, we check that there is no air left in the tire by pressing the middle of the valve.
Opening the Rim in Two
Afterward, we can safely unscrew the 6 screws of the rim using a 4mm Allen wrench.
Removing the Old Tire
Now we can push on the tire to separate it from the wheel.
Remove the half rim.
Now, we simply pull out the punctured inner tube from our VSETT to remove it from the tire.
Installing the New Inner Tube
In this video, we are not changing the tire; we are just making sure there is no debris stuck inside.
Next, we check the direction of rotation of the tire and install our new 8 1/2 x 2 inner tube with a 70/90 angled valve.

Closing the Rim
To make it easier to install the rim around the tire, we apply a small drop of soap around the rim and on the inner surface of the tire.
Then, we place the half rim onto the tire with the valve of the inner tube in its housing.
Next, an extremely important step to avoid puncturing our new inner tube during reassembly is to ensure that no part of the inner tube protrudes and touches the gray part of the rim.
Now, we can install the front wheel onto the tire.
If the two parts of the rim are not aligned properly, you can easily align them using a small Allen wrench.
Finally, we can close it all by gradually tightening the 6 screws.
Reinstalling the Disc
Next, we need to put our brake disc back in the correct orientation.
We can check its rotation direction using the arrow engraved on it.
Installing the Repaired Front Wheel onto the Fork
Once our front wheel is complete, we can slide it onto the front fork, ensuring that the locking washers are properly seated in the grooves.
Then, we tighten the two nuts.
Tire Pressure and Inflation for VSETT 9
Finally, we complete the repair of our VSETT 9 by inflating the tire to 3.1 bars.
