PART A - REMOVING THE OLD TIRE
Step 1: Remove the wheel from your wheelbarrow

- Turn the wheelbarrow upside down.
- Unscrew the two bolts on each side of the axle.
- Lift the wheel out of the fork.
Step 2: Remove one side of the tire

- Make sure the tire is completely deflated.
- Starting from the valve side, use tire levers or flathead screwdrivers to work your way around the rim and lift off one side of the tire.
- Add a few drops of liquid soap around the edges to make it easier to slide the tire off.
Step 3: Remove the inner tube

- Push the valve through the rim using a slim object.
- Grab the inner tube from inside the tire.
- Carefully pull it out of the wheel.
Step 4: Remove the other side of the tire

- Push the lower bead of the tire into the center of the rim.
- Use your thumbs or a lever to lift the upper side out.
- Work your way around the tire until it’s fully off.
Step 5: Inspect your tire and inner tube

Take a close look at both the tire and tube:
➡️ Are they still in good condition? Do you see cracks or excessive wear?
Based on your inspection, choose one of these options:
- Replace both the tire and inner tube.
- Reuse the tire and install a new inner tube.
- Patch the inner tube and reuse both.
IMPORTANT TIP 💡
Wheelbarrow tires come in various sizes. The most common sizes include: 4.80/4.00-8, 3.50/3.00-8, and 3.50-6.
Before buying replacements, always check the size printed on the sidewall of your current tire. This prevents ordering the wrong part and saves you from unnecessary returns.

PART B - INSTALLING THE NEW TIRE
Step 6: Fit the first bead of the tire

- Place the rim over the tire.
- Apply liquid soap around the rim to help it slide in smoothly.
- Work your way around the rim with a tire lever, pushing the rim into the tire.
*Pro Tip: Start with the side of the rim where the valve hole is located.
Step 7: Insert the inner tube

- Press the tire near the valve hole and insert the valve stem into the hole.
- Place the rest of the tube inside the tire, making sure no part of it sticks out over the rim. This avoids pinching the tube during reinstallation.
Step 8: Fit the second bead of the tire

- Push the lower edge of the tire into the rim.
- Work your way toward the valve, pressing the sidewalls into place.
- If the tire becomes difficult to mount, apply some soap to the bead and finish with a tire lever.
Step 9: Inflate your wheelbarrow tire

- Use a hand pump or air compressor to inflate the tire.
- The maximum pressure is printed on the side of your tire.
*As a general rule, wheelbarrow tires are inflated to around 30 PSI (2 bars).
Step 10: Reinstall the wheel

- Place the wheel back onto the fork of your wheelbarrow.
- Tighten the bolts securely.
- Your tire is now ready to go. Get ready to tackle those heavy loads!
