A reliable inner tube is the foundation for worry-free riding
An inner tube is the “invisible” part that makes a real difference every day: it holds air pressure, improves comfort, supports efficiency, and gives you peace of mind. This collection brings together all of our bicycle inner tubes, covering a wide range of diameters and widths so you can quickly find the right match—whether you’re dealing with a flat, a slow leak, or you’re replacing a tube proactively.
What bikes and riding styles is this for?
Depending on your wheel size and tire width, you’ll find tubes here for many bikes and use cases:
- Kids’ bikes (12", 14", 16", 18"): balance bikes, learning bikes, small kids’ MTBs.
- BMX (often 20"): street riding, pump track, casual riding.
- Mountain bikes: classic and modern sizes (e.g., 26", 27.5", 29") plus wider sections depending on your setup.
- Hybrid / commuter / city bikes: daily riding, trekking, comfort-focused setups.
- Folding bikes: depending on the model (often 16" to 20").
- Cargo / utility bikes: some builds take larger-volume tire sections.
- Specialty wheels using “bike-style” sizes (e.g., trailers): as long as the tire size and valve match exactly.
Important: compatibility depends first and foremost on the tire/rim size. When in doubt, always rely on the markings printed on your tire.
How to be sure you have the right size: inches and ETRTO
To avoid mistakes, check the size directly on your tire sidewall:
- In inches (e.g., 20x1.75, 26x1.95, 29x2.25)
- Or in ETRTO (e.g., 47-406, 50-559, 57-622)
ETRTO is often the most reliable: the first number is the tire width (in mm) and the second is the rim’s internal bead seat diameter (in mm). Example: 47-406 corresponds roughly to a 20" x 1.75 setup.
Sizes in this collection (quick reference)
This page includes inner tubes covering many common dimensions, including:
- Small diameters: 12", 14", 16", 17", 18"
- Very common sizes: 20", 22", 24", 25", 26"
- Large wheels: 27", 27.5" (650B), 28" (700C), 29"
- Special sizes depending on setups: 30.5", 32", 36"
You’ll also find many widths (tire sections) within the same diameter. The goal: make sure your tire falls within the tube’s compatibility range.
Width: choose a range that covers your tire
Beyond diameter, confirm the width (section). An inner tube typically fits a range (for example 1.75–2.125). If your tire is 2.00, choose a tube whose range includes 2.00. Too narrow or too wide can lead to difficult installation, premature wear, or less stable air retention.
Valves: Presta, Schrader, Dunlop… which one should you choose?
Your valve must match your rim and how you inflate (home pump, gas station, etc.):
- Presta valve (SV): slim; common on road bikes, gravel bikes, and many MTBs.
- Schrader valve (AV): wider and sturdy; similar to car valves; convenient for air at gas stations; common on MTBs and kids’ bikes.
- Dunlop valve (DV): less common in the U.S., but still found on some city/commuter bikes.
Installation tips to prevent repeat flats
- Check the inside of the tire (thorn, glass, staple) before reinstalling.
- Inspect your rim tape: if it’s damaged, it can cause repeated punctures.
- Inflate to the recommended pressure: too low = pinch flats; too high = harsh ride and extra stress.
- Before mounting, add a little air to the tube and avoid pinching it while seating the tire.
Why buy your inner tube here?
Because it saves you time: broad size coverage, clear sizing cues (inches/ETRTO), and practical guidance so you can pick the right tube on the first try. Browse the collection, filter by size, and get back on the road quickly—with confidence.
