Got a flat tire on your Xiaomi scooter? This guide will help you find the best replacement tires and make sure you never get stranded again!
Do all Xiaomi scooters use the same tires?

The Xiaomi M365 scooter has evolved over time, but all versions use the same tire size: 8½ x 2 inches, for both the front and rear wheels.
Here are the compatible models (Mi Electric Scooter) :
- Xiaomi M365
- Xiaomi M187 Youth Edition
- Xiaomi Pro and Pro 2
- Xiaomi Essential
- Xiaomi Lite
- Xiaomi 1S
- Xiaomi Mi 3

Should you replace your tire?
Before replacing your tire, check these two critical points:
1. Is the tread visibly worn?
2. Does the inside of the tire show signs of damage?
- Are internal fibers showing along the edges?
- Did you find rubber debris inside the tire when removing the punctured inner tube?
If you answered no to both, there’s no need to replace the tyre. Simply change the inner tube.

Xiaomi Inner Tube
Choose an inner tube that meets these specifications:
- Exact size: 8½ x 2L
- Valve: Straight Schrader valve, slightly angled outward
- Quality: Thick, durable rubber
These specs make it easier to inflate your tire and guarantee a perfect fit with the rim.

💡 What’s a reinforced Xiaomi inner tube?
It’s a tube made of vulcanized butyl rubber, a material that offers superior resistance to friction and punctures.
Thicker than basic models, it features reinforcement ribs that extend its lifespan. Simple, strong, and reliable.
Xiaomi Solid Tire

There are plenty of solid (puncture-proof) tires available for Xiaomi scooters.
We tested most of them based on several factors:
- Rubber quality
- Wear resistance
- Road handling
- Riding comfort
- Ease of installation
In our opinion, here’s the most versatile and high-quality Xiaomi solid tire ⬇️

Solid Tire: Pros and Cons
Advantage:
- Puncture-proof: It’s the only 100% guarantee against flats.
*Note: There are no other real advantages to solid tires.
Disadvantages:
- Comfort: Solid tires absorb shocks less effectively than inflatable ones.
- Traction: Grip on wet or uneven surfaces is reduced.
- Warranty: Installing solid tires alters your scooter’s original configuration, which may void the manufacturer's warranty.

Solid Tire or Inflatable Tire?
Still undecided? Here are our three recommendations:
Setup 1 (Our Favorite)
➡️ Reinforced inflatable tires on both front and rear wheels

With good-quality reinforced tires, you’ll enjoy maximum comfort and excellent road grip, especially on wet and bumpy surfaces.
Setup 2
➡️ Inflatable tire in front and solid tire in the rear

This mixed setup gives you front-end comfort and reduces the risk of flats with a solid tire on the rear wheel.
Setup 3
➡️ Solid tires on both front and rear wheels

If you never want to deal with a flat tire again, this is an option.
It's not our top recommendation, but it’s a viable alternative.
How to Prevent Flats
Remember:
- 80% of flats are caused by under-inflation.
- 20% are caused by sharp objects (nails, screws, shards of glass, etc.).
The secret to avoiding flats? It's simple: regularly check your tire pressure and inflate them properly.
👉 Ideal pressure depends on your weight. Check out our full guide: How to Inflate a Xiaomi Scooter Tire?
