Steps for installing a solid tire on the front wheel of your Xiaomi M365 scooter:
Start by sliding the tip of a cutter between the sticker and the plastic cover to lift and remove it. Be gentle, these stickers are fragile.
Unscrew the 2 small screws on the cover with a 2.5 allen key to remove it and access the nut on the front wheel.
Go to the side of the wheel with the motor cable and remove the sticker as well as the 4 small screws with a 2.5 allen key.
Unscrew the two nuts on the left and right of the motor with an 18 key. If yours are extremely tight, here is another tutorial with some tips on how to do it easily.
Gently pull on the motor cable without forcing it. You will gain a little space and be able to install your solid tire more comfortably. Press the red seal cap with your thumb so that it does not come out.
Push the inner tube valve into the wheel with an allen key. If the valve does not fit directly, you can tap it gently with a hammer to make it fit.
Drop a few drops of liquid soap around the tire to help it slide and come off more easily. Press on the edges of the tire to remove it from the rim.
Place two good scooter tire levers.
Lever the first part of the tire out.
Push the inner tube valve out of the rim and pull on it to remove the inner tube from the wheel.
Finish removing the tire by hand to then proceed with the installation of your MPK85 solid tire.
To make the solid tire more flexible and easier to install, run it under water and microwave it for 1 minute. Be careful not to heat it too much or it will become too soft and difficult to handle.
Place your scooter on the ground, with the front wheel in the middle and the motor cable facing upwards. Feel free to use a chair to be comfortable during the assembly.
Drop a few drops of soap around your solid tire and check the direction of rotation. The tire lines should point towards the front of the scooter.
Lay the solid tire on the ground and the motor on top of the tire.
Put a little liquid soap on the flat edges of your tire levers.
Place the first part of the front wheel inside the solid tire and put your two feet on the motor to keep it in place.
Slide your tire levers between the rim and the tire and lever while pushing with your feet on the wheel. With this technique, the solid tire will slide upwards and come into place on the wheel.
Center the tire perfectly on the motor by sliding a tire lever between the rim and the tire to lift it and you will see that it will automatically come into place. You can also pass an allen key or screwdriver through the holes to pull the tire upwards and properly position it.
Put the wheel back on the front fork and tighten the two nuts with your 18 key.
Push the motor cable back inside your scooter.
Screw the plastic covers back on and put the stickers back on.
Done! You have successfully installed a solid tire on the front wheel of your Xiaomi M365 electric scooter!
