Steps to replace the front tyre of your Xiaomi M365
Remove the valve cap from your inner tube.

Insert a thin blade of a cutter between the red sticker and the plastic cover to lift the sticker cleanly and without damaging it.

Unscrew the 4 small screws with a 2.5mm Allen wrench to remove the plastic cover from the right side of the fork.

Carefully remove the red sticker with the cutter from the other side of your front wheel. To make it easier to peel off, insert the blade deep inside near the screw hole.

Unscrew the 2 screws from the left cover using your 2.5mm Allen wrench and remove it.

Using a 18mm wrench or socket, remove the left nut. You don’t need to remove it completely. Also, remove the right nut. This operation may require some force due to the red thread locker on the threads.

Gently pull on the motor cable to create more space and make it easier to change your front tire.

Insert the valve of the punctured inner tube into the rim using an Allen wrench. If it doesn’t fit inside the rim, use a hammer to tap it in gently.

Apply some liquid soap between your rim and the punctured tire. This will make it much easier to remove the tire from the rim.

Identify the location of the valve hole and place two sturdy metal tire levers to the right and left of this point.

Use the tire levers to create a leverage effect and remove the first section of your front tire. Then, go around the tire at regular intervals to remove it completely.

Pass the valve of the punctured inner tube outside of the rim and remove it

You can remove the tire from the rim by hand.

To determine whether you can reuse your tire or need to replace it, inspect the inside of the tire. If you notice any protruding filaments on the inner edges, it’s time to replace it with a new tire.

Take your new inner tube and inflate it slightly. You will notice that the valve is straight but slightly angled to one side. This will help you determine the correct orientation when installing it.

Remove the valve core using a valve core remover. Insert an Allen key into the hole in the rim and into the valve of the inner tube. Slide the valve into the rim hole while applying gentle leverage with the Allen key. Caution: Do not force this operation to avoid damaging the valve of the inner tube. Reinstall the valve core and screw the cap onto the valve to prevent the inner tube from coming out.

Take your new tire and check the direction in which you should mount it. The arrows should align with the direction of rotation of the front wheel. (The direction of rotation is also indicated on the sidewall of the tire).

Insert the inner tube inside the tire.

Using a tire lever, remount the first section of your tire.

Locate the valve and secure the tire with two pliers on the left and right sides of the valve. Apply some liquid soap to the edges of your tire to help it slide. Apply tension to the tire using one tire lever on the left and another on the right. Complete the installation using your third tire lever. Your front tire is now properly installed around the motor !

Remove the pliers and press on the edges of the tire to ensure it is properly seated. Inflate the tire to check if the inner tube was not punctured during the installation. Verify that the tire is centered on the rim by following the tire’s alignment markings.

Reinstall the front wheel onto the fork. Push the wheel upwards and tighten it securely with the nuts on the left and right sides. Push the motor cable back into its housing.

Reassemble the right plastic cover using the 4 screws and reapply the red adhesive strip.

Reassemble the left plastic cover using the 2 screws and reapply the red adhesive strip.

Congratulations ! The puncture on your Xiaomi M365 is now a thing of the past. Your new front tire is finally mounted on the motor, and you can once again enjoy your electric scooter !
