The steps to install your Xiaomi M365 solid tire (Rear Wheel):
Slide the tip of a cutter between the yellow sticker and the groove of the cover. Gently remove the sticker. You can heat it slightly with a hairdryer if you want it to come off more easily.
Remove the plastic cover by unscrewing the two small screws with a 2.5mm Allen wrench.
Unscrew the first screw of the rear wheel axle with a 4mm Allen wrench.
Go to the other side of your Xiaomi M365 wheel and do the same: remove the sticker, the plastic cover, and the second screw of the axle.
Pull the flat rear wheel to remove it from the fork.
Using a 3mm Allen wrench, unscrew the 5 screws of the brake disc to remove it. This will give you more space to install your solid tire and prevent bending the disc during installation.
Remove the valve cap from the inner tube and push it inside the rim using an Allen wrench.
Apply some liquid soap around the wheel and press on the edges of the tire to detach it from the rim.
Position two good tire levers to the right and left of the valve hole.
Take out the first part of the tire by using leverage. Then, go around the tire with a tire lever to remove it.
Push the valve of the inner tube outside the rim and pull it to remove the inner tube from the tire.
Once the inner tube is no longer inside the tire, you can remove the tire by hand.
To make the solid tire less rigid and easier to install, rinse it with water and microwave it for 1 to 2 minutes. It should be warm but not hot, the idea is not to cook it. Without a microwave: Boil water, pour the hot water into a bowl, and let the tire sit in the hot water for 3-4 minutes; it works very well.
Apply a few drops of soap to the rim edges, the flat edges of your tire levers, and the inside of the tire.
Check the tire’s rotation direction. The tire lines should point towards the front of the scooter.
Place the tire on the ground and position the rim on top of the tire.
Place one part of the rim inside the solid tire and put your feet on the rim to keep it from moving.
Note: Sitting on a chair is much more comfortable for installing the solid tire.
Slide your tire levers between the rim and the tire and lever it while pushing with your feet on the wheel.
With this technique, your solid tire will slide upwards and fit inside the rim.
If your solid tire didn’t fit perfectly inside the rim, finish the installation by inserting an Allen wrench or a screwdriver through the holes to center your tire on the wheel. You can also insert a tire lever between the rim and the tire to lift it, and it will fit into place.
Reinstall your brake disc, making sure it rotates in the correct direction. If you have degreaser at home, you can clean it before mounting. It’s not mandatory, but it doesn’t hurt.
Put the rear wheel back on the fork.
Tighten the wheel and put back the covers and stickers on both sides. Now you know how to install a solid tire on the rear wheel of a Xiaomi M365!
